Thee Group is a chain of 4 hotels based in Thailand – Tha City Loft, Thee Bangkok and Thea Service Apartments in Bangkok and Thee Chang Thai in Chiang Mai. These are 3-star hotels and apartments located centrally with premium quality of amenities, designs, beddings and comforters.
The MD, Danny Thakur was new to the digital world of hotels and was unable to maximize revenues for his hotels. Both Bangkok and Chiang Mai are popular tourist destinations and have demand fluctuations basis seasons. While the peak seasons in Thailand would command high rates (ADRs), the hotel was unable to cope with changing dynamics and demand trends to optimize their business. The OTA listings for his hotels were laced with several tactical promotions that were hard to manage and gain from.
Danny met Aiosell team at ITB Asia, Singapore and started using Aiosell’s dynamic pricing & revenue management system in early 2019. Aiosell dynamic pricing algorithm allowed Danny to set pricing algorithms that change prices based on demand patters and rules that were specific to the Thailand market. It allowed the hotel to remove the cluttered tactical promotions (last minute deals, advance purchases, weekend offers) that were created on the OTAs, because all these requirements could be entered into Aiosell’s rules based dynamic pricing algorithm.
The hotel uses Staah as their channel manager which is already integrated with Aiosell.
The total room nights increased by 40% within a span of first 5 months. Danny also became an expert and contributor to Aiosell’s dynamic pricing system by using the technology on his entire suite of 5 hotels in Thee group, and also start promoting Aiosell to his friends, family and network in the local Thai market.
